Underperforming Conservatory

The most well-known sign of a conservatory that needs repairing is when it lacks temperature regulation. This means that it may be too hot to be used in the summer and too cold in the winter. Several things, such as degraded windows, inefficient glass coating, or general wear and tear to the frames of the conservatory, may cause this lack of temperature regulation.

Some other signs to look out for include damaged glass, which may encourage draughts to get into your conservatory. Additionally, if your conservatory feels extra cold at night and during the winter, then this may be a sign that the sealant is separating from your property. You may also have leaks from your roof which is a surefire sign that a roof is in need of replacing or repair.

If you also notice that any existing cracks in the wall are getting much bigger or new diagonal cracks that are over 3mm are forming in the walls or floors of your conservatory near windows or doors, then your conservatory will typically be in need of repair.
